This morning at 06.00am we collected a puppy out of our yellow Labrador retriever stud dog, Moss who we had in exchange for a stud fee. We have christened her Breeze, she is a very outgoing yellow Labrador bitch.

 The breeders Neil & Alison Parkin have done a fantastic job of rearing her in the first 8 weeks of puppy-hood. Our plan with Breeze is to do a step by step guide of how we introduce one of our puppies to a working life as a gundog.

This will give all an opportunity to follow our step by step guide for their own use, but also for others to give us advice  if we were to come across any stumbling blocks along the way which they may have already encountered.  Watch this space!

A new video of the Toller Pups at three Weeks Old!

In the last week the puppies have become alot more active, they are becoming more independent moving around, investigating and becoming vocal.They have started showing interest in mums food so they have been on weetabix and goats milk over the last four days and will move onto Masters Puppy Eclipse over the next week soaked in warm water an hour before feeding. The puppies were given their first course of wormer over 3 days starting last friday and finishing on Sunday. They were wormed with Panacur 10 % liquid. Amber was also wormed over the 3 days with Panacur.

Another video for you to enjoy! These were filmed when the pups were 13 Days Old. The pups are growing fast and pretty hungry!

Amber’s Toller puppies are now approaching 2 weeks old, and have discovered they have litter mates to keep themselves amused, so they are busy investigating each other. All their eyes are opening and they are starting to respond to new noises.

Each puppy is begining to explore there surroundings and realising their boundaries at this early stage.

They have just had a litter of 7 labrador puppies. 2 black bitches 3 yellow dogs and 2 black dogs.  Sire FTW Caulliechat Regal hips 3/3 (Bramble), dam Bullrush Springing Teal hips 0/2 (Pippa).

All puppies weighed  around 20oz. These will make fantastic working dogs or pets. If anyone would like further information on the puppies please contact us.

Puppies are now 1 week old, so today we have given them a weekly health check along with a weigh in to see how they are growing.

As you can see all puppies are growing fast and on a steady increase. We are very pleased with the weights as there is normally a weight drop from at least one puppy in the first couple of weeks.
