Nicola and Brad Burridge have a beautiful chunky litter of Labrador puppies which are HOME REARED with young children, ready from 17th Dec. Puppies are KC reg, wormed and insured. They come with puppy starter packs and will be vet checked before they leave. Mum is a beautiful loyal family with a hip total of 5 and clear eye certificate. The sire of the litter was Moss. There are only 2 puppies available, 1 Yellow Boy and 1 Black Girl.

This is a fantastic litter with plenty of bone, head and body.

Rain rain go away.

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

This week Kiara and myself have got out in between the rain for SOME sunshine and training. Kiara is now 13 weeks old and is walking well on the lead, sitting on command and retrieving well. We have been play retrieving from long grass, stick piles and the side of crop’s.

Kiara is very loving and responding well to her name. All my friends love to know how she’s progressing and keep asking if they can take her home.

The Breeze is still strong!

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

Breeze is coming on strong in every way, she has no real weak points at present but I’m sure she will come into difficulty eventually like any other gun-dog. She’s so into you and eager to please, which makes her a real pleasure to work.

At this early delicate age we are still having loads of fun when training nothing to serious, im sure to get the basics right before i move on to fast.

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Congratulations to Alison Webb on her new arrivals. Tara (Fallowfen Alice) produced a healthy and even litter of 6, 3 dogs 3 bitches. Puppies were born on the 26/01/08.  Puppies have very nice colouring very similar to there dad, Moss (Conneywarren Lord Wren Of Fallowfen).

Tara had a good problem free labour and soon settled down to motherhood.

Chocolate monsters!

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Coco’s litter are doing fantastic they have just gone through there first dose of worming with panacur 10% at 2 weeks of age. Panacur is one of the widest ranging wormer’s on the market. They are now 3 weeks old and the males weigh an average 5lb and females 3lb. They have also been micro-chip for identification.

They are being reared on goats milk and weetabix at present but will be fed CJS Natural Little Champ puppy food, Which we can highly recommend.

Early stages of training.

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Breeze is now 10 weeks old and we have been socialising her within our family environment getting her use to family life and finding her place within the pecking order. Breeze is very bright and extremely laid back, she is excellent with the children who are very hands on.

At this early stage of training it should be done within play drive with no pressure. Everything should be easy for her to achieve and made enjoyable. We are talking to her all the time in play training giving her plenty of encouragement.

The main steps at this moment in time are her retrieving and recall, her recall at present is fantastic, as soon as you call her name she comes back to you, or when you are play retrieving she also comes straight back to you, but we are never to quick to take the ball or sock off of her, as we don’t want her to get into the habit of dropping the retrieve.

We are also starting to lead train her, we put a collar on and attach a lead then let her run around the house. We will occasionally tread on the lead so she gets use to sudden pressure. We also let the children walk/pull her around to get her use to walking on the lead.

So many owners teach a dog to walk with a lead but not on a lead!
