As I said in my previous video Jessie is now starting to understand I’m trying to control most situations we are in together. This has made retrieving hard as she picks up the tennis ball and heads back to her bed thinking it’s her reward.
I try and show in this video how I will start to control the retrieving hopefully making it second nature to bring the retrieve to me for praise rather than trying to take the retrieve away.
We are now starting to get back into regular training with last years youngsters.
This is Jet a soft lovable Labrador that needs progressive confident training.
Jessie’s progress is coming on well, however, as I’m now starting to control her on and off the lead she is now becoming wise to it!
You may remember Rocky from earlier videos, we brought him into the kennels when he was a very lively puppy and had already been into a pet home allowing him to get away with so much.
You will see with guidance and patience he is now becoming a good working companion however his exuberance can still sometimes lead him astray!
As Jessie’s imprint training is coming on so well i have decided its time to start with the lead training.
Things you should take from the videos are the length of the training session.
ALWAYS short! People generally do to much for to long, lets try and keep training sessions at this young age short and sweet!
The videos are never edited, this is what really happens when you start training your puppy and applying pressure.
As you will see from the video Jessie has picked up what she needs to do really quickly to get her dinner.
Below I have put together a few short videos trying to show and explain the training and control of Anna our yellow Labrador retriever.
Please watch the videos in order as they will piece together as you watch them.
If you’d like any further information on Anna please contact ourselves.
