So, the book has landed!
For many years I’ve been told I should try writing a book, so in June this year, over three nights, I spent 27 hours having a go!
Not because I want to become a published author or make thousands of pounds from sales, but more because I wanted to leave some of the way I think on paper for the generations that come after me.
In this book, I’ve tried to highlight the need for an open mind when it comes to breeding and the importance of how we think.
Not everyone will agree with my thought process or how I approach certain criteria, but that’s OK. This isn’t a book telling you the best way to do things; it’s simply about the way I currently see things, and those views may well change in years to come. Times change and the goalposts move!
I’ve self-published this book because I wanted to make sure my voice could still be heard. It was also important to me that it came across very much as a book written by an amateur author, because that’s exactly what I am!
I could have gone into so much more detail about different subjects, but I wanted to keep the book an easy and enjoyable read.
As always, if anyone out there needs any help or support with any of the subjects I cover, I’m always available for a conversation. As everyone who knows me will tell you, I’m a very open book!
The book is priced at £25, including postage and packaging.
We’ve also made the conscious decision to donate £10 from every book sold to Make-A-Wish UK, giving something back to some of the children who need it most.
Having experienced many struggles ourselves with our daughter, I know first-hand the comfort that comes from knowing there are others out there willing to try and help wherever they can.
