Treacle – Lets see if the training has worked!
Friday, February 22nd, 2019This was the first time i have tried to enforce the stay command when asking Treacle to retrieve an object for me.
This was the first time i have tried to enforce the stay command when asking Treacle to retrieve an object for me.
In this video with Treacle I’m continuing to teach her to stay and wait for her dinner.
However i now start to introduce the command I am wanting to use for her to pick up a retriever, which is “Go Back”.
As you can see from my video diary with Treacle I always take my time, i don’t look to rush anything hoping for success!
When introducing something new like “Go back” i always return to a training section which will help release the pressure of training, in this case back to dinner time!
In this video with Treacle I’m starting to show how we can teach a young dog to stay with very little pressure.
In this training session we introduced Sam to cold game and the ability to jump.
After about 20 minutes of building his confidence he gave us a nice memory retrieve.
In this training video I’m trying to show how we can increase activity levels in Treacle allowing us to increase the pressure in training to accomplish better results.
When we are training a young dog we are looking at its body language and demeanor to see how they are feeling.
Just because a dogs tail is wagging it doesn’t mean their not feeling any pressure or unsure.
We have all been in the position where we have to put on a brave smile but would rather be somewhere else!
